Iran exports goods worth over $400M through customs in Markazi province

Since the beginning of this Iranian year (started March 21, 2019), goods worth $408 million have been exported through customs in Iran’s Markazi province, Director General of Markazi Province Customs Office Esmail Hosseini said, Trend reports citing IRNA.

He said that during this period, 728,000 tons of products were exported to 68 countries.

He added that exported products increased by 14 percent in terms of weight compared to the same period last year and decreased by 7 percent in terms of value.

“Various hydrocarbons, fruit juice, rebar, heavy and lightweight polyethylene, propylene are the main exported products,” he said.

He added that 77,900 tons of products worth $197 million were imported to the country in the same period .

He said that imports of products increased by 23 percent in terms of weight and by 35 percent in terms of value compared to the same period last year.

He noted that the imported products were mainly equipment, spare parts and raw materials.
