During the II International Investment Forum of the Jizzakh region, on August 29, the British company EY (Ernst & Young) signed a memorandum of cooperation with the administration of the Jizzakh region of Uzbekistan, Trend reports via Uzbek media.
The parties agreed to strengthen and develop mutually beneficial relations in the field of improving the efficiency of the economy of the Jizzakh region.
The document was signed by the governor of Jizzakh region Ergash Saliev and EY Europe, the Middle East, India and Africa (EMEIA) Public Finance Management Solution Leader Ruta Makareviciute.
Makareviciute in her speech at the forum, outlined three key aspects for the implementation of the development strategy, among which: the significance of the gap between the current state of affairs in the region and the desired status; the presence of a balanced approach based on the capabilities, resources and growth factors of the region, and the definition of long-term and short-term prospects.
“Jizzakh has an ambitious goal - to become an advanced region and transform the business environment in Uzbekistan. We believe that in order to achieve the goal it is necessary to adhere to a balanced approach between opportunities, resources and major growth factors," she said.
Furthermore, during her speech, she spoke about the new development of EY - NextWave Future Cities Mural, a technology with which the problems of transforming cities, regions and enterprises can quickly be analyzed and solved.
