Construction of dairy plant worth nearly $10M launched in Kazakhstan

The construction of dairy farm for 1,200 animals has been launched in Kazakhstan’s Turkestan region, Trend reports with reference to the press office of the regional akimat (administrative center).

The construction is to be finished in August 2020. The cost of the project is 3.7 billion tenge (approximately $9.574 million). The capacity of the plant is 4,500 tons of milk a year. Following the launch of the plant, some 100 people will be employed.

According to Head of the region Umirzak Shukeyev, within the framework of the complex plan for social and economic development of Turkestan region up to 2024, a great attention is being given to development of region’s agriculture.

Furthermore, currently the work on implementation of four projects total worth of which is 29.3 billion tenge has been launched to solve the issues of water supply to sowing fields.

In addition, the implementation of seven major investment projects worth 63 billion tenge is underway in the region. As a result of the implementation, the region is to increase the value of manufacturing of agriculture goods up to 30 billion tenge and to create over 2,500 new work places.

Furthermore, the projects on construction of feedlot for 10,0000 animal (Siti Story company), poultry farm the capacity of which is to be 20,000 tons a year (Standard Oil company) and the modern greenhouses complex, which will be situated on the territory of 500 ha (YDA INSAAY company) are being implemented in the region.
