Mitsubishi may take part in construction of solar power plants in Uzbekistan

During the visit to Japan, the government delegation of Uzbekistan held meetings with such large companies as Mitsubishi Corporation and Marubeni Corporation, Trend reports citing the press service of the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan.
During the meeting with Mitsubishi officials, the prospects of the company's participation in the creation of modern greenhouse complexes based on advanced Japanese technologies, the localization of synthetic fibers and resins in Uzbekistan, the construction of solar and wind power stations on the principles of public-private partnership and the implementation of several projects in the oil and gas sector, were discussed.
The leaders of the Marubeni corporation considered proposals on enhancing activities in Uzbekistan through participation in large projects in the field of metallurgy, oil and gas and chemical industries, as well as transport and production of agricultural and household appliances with involvement of funds from Japanese government and investors.
In addition, issues related to the status of already implemented joint projects were discussed, and ways to further increase the portfolio of company projects in Uzbekistan were worked out.
