A terminal for export of agricultural products will be established in Iran’s northern Gilan province, Farhad Dalgpush, chairman of the Organization of Industry, Mine and Trade of the province, told reporters in Iran, Trend reports referring to Tasnim news agency.

“The Iranian Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade has already given permission,” Dalgpush said. “Gilan province can play an important role in the export of the Iranian agricultural products to the markets of the Caspian countries and EurAsEC member-states.”

“Currently, most of the agricultural products of this province are supplied to Iran’s other border provinces and from there the products are exported to neighbouring countries,” the chairman added.

Some 106 agricultural cooperatives operate in the province. More than 120,000 people work there.

The products worth $500 million are planned to be exported from Gilan province from March 21, 2019 to March 21, 2020.
