Turkmen postal service company offering domestic money transfer service

Turkmenistan’s Turkmenpochta postal service company has initiated offering money transfer service in the country, Trend reports referring to the Business-Turkmenistan agency.

The cost of the service depends on the amount of money sent. Thus, the charges for transferring are as follows: from 1 Turkmen manat ($0.28) to 300 Turkmen manat ($85.47) - 6 percent, from 301 manat ($85.75) to 500 manat ($142.45) - 5 percent, from 501 manat ($142.73) to 1,000 manat ($284.9) - 4 percent, from 1001 manat ($285.1) to 2,000 manat ($569.8) - 3 percent, from 2,001 manat ($570) to 3,000 manat ($854.7) - 2 percent, and over 3,000 manat ($854.7) - 1 percent of the amount sent.

This service is available in all branches of Turkmenpochta postal service company, which joined the Universal Postal Union in 1993.
