The groundbreaking ceremony for the project of connecting subway in Iran’s Tehran and Mazandaran provinces will be held soon, said Director General of Mazandaran Province Roads and Urban Development Department Mohammad Nazari, Trend reports referring to Fars news agency.
Nazari said that feasibility study of this project has been completed.
The director general noted that the project is expected to be completed in five years, adding that an agreement was reached in this regard with the Khatam al-Anbiya Construction Headquarters, an Iranian engineering firm controlled by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps.
In February last year, a project on connecting subway in Iran’s Tehran and Mazandaran provinces was proposed. There are plans to invest $8 billion in this project.
There is distance of 180 kilometers between the centers of Iran’s Tehran and Mazandaran provinces.
