Turkmenistan and South Korea signed a Memorandum of understanding on cooperation in combating the legalization of criminal proceeds and financing of terrorism in Ashgabat, Trend reports with reference to the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan.
The document was signed between the Financial Monitoring Service of Turkmenistan and the Financial Intelligence Unit of Korea.
The Memorandum aims to improve the exchange of information and strengthen the capacity of financial services of the two countries to identify crimes related to legalization of proceeds obtained by criminal means and the financing of terrorism, the message said.
