Trade turnover in Baku from January through October 2019 compared with the corresponding period in 2018 increased by 3.4 percent and amounted to slightly over 16.9 billion manat ($9.9 billion), Trend reports referring to the Baku City Statistics Department.
Compared to the same period of 2018, the prices of food products, drinks and tobacco products sold through Baku retail network increased by 3.2 percent and exceeded 7.7 billion manat ($4.5 billion), the volume of non-food products increased by 3.9 percent and exceeded 9.1 billion manat ($5.4 billion).
As much as 28.6 percent of consumer products were sold through legal entities, 48.1 percent in retail facilities owned by individual entrepreneurs and 23.3 percent in Baku trading markets.
