Azerbaijan's Agency for Development of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) has received over 200 applications from young entrepreneurs in 2019, the agency's Chairman Orkhan Mammadov said at the first forum of young entrepreneurs, Trend reports from the event.
The first forum of young entrepreneurs is held in Baku, with the support of the Agency for Development of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, on Dec. 10.
Regarding the nature of the appeals, Mammadov said that 60 percent of them related to the provision of legal assistance and advisory services, 30 percent to access to financial resources, 10 percent to protection of entrepreneurs' rights.
Orkhan Mammadov noted that 30 percent of the total number of applications were submitted by start-up businessmen, while 70 percent were submitted by those engaged in existing or developed business.
The main areas of activity of young entrepreneurs, according to Mammadov, are agriculture, trade and services.
