A major metal processing facility in Azerbaijan - Khirdalan Steel Construction Plant, owned by Azerbaijan’s Akkord Industry Construction Investment Corporation OJSC, is fully ready for the launch of a new production line, a source at the plant told Trend.
Preparation work for the launch of lathes designed for welding and grinding metal blanks has been completed, according to the source.
“According to our estimates, the launch of the new line will increase the production capacity of the plant several times,” the source noted. “The annual production of the plant is 3,600 tons of metal. The new production line will start operating early next year.”
The source also noted that metal parts for cement plants are being produced at the metal processing plant.
“Several types of induction furnaces with capacity of 1,000 and 2,000 kilograms, cold rolling machines, heat treatment furnaces and other auxiliary tools for metal casting are installed at the plant,” the source said, adding that the furnaces provided for heat treatment make it possible to manufacture metal parts at high temperatures - up to 1,150 ºC.
