Azerbaijan exported 355 tons of hazelnuts worth $2 million to Georgia in 2019, Trend reports citing the Georgian National Statistics Office (Geostat).
The volume of hazelnuts exported to Georgia from Azerbaijan in 2019 decreased by 48 percent compared to 2018.
As reported, in 2018, Azerbaijan exported 683.8 tons of hazelnuts worth $3.27 million to Georgia.
In 2019, the volume of foreign trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Georgia amounted to $1.05 billion, which is $36.9 million or 3.4 percent less compared to 2018. In 2018, this figure amounted to $1.09 billion.
Azerbaijan accounts for 8.1 percent of Georgia’s total trade turnover.
In 2019, Georgia imported goods and products from Azerbaijan in the amount of $559.13 million; compared to the previous year, this figure decreased by 5.7 percent.
Georgia's export to Azerbaijan totaled $498.70 million. This is 0.7 percent more compared to 2018.
In the trade turnover between Georgia and Azerbaijan a negative balance reached $60.42 million. In annual terms this indicator decreased by 33.4 percent. In 2018, the negative balance amounted to $90.691 million.
