Iran's exports of goods via borders of its North Khorasan province has increased by 65 percent in the current Iranian year (started on March 21, 2019), so far, compared to the same period of the preceding Iranian year, Director of North Khorasan Customs Administration Javad Jafari said at a press conference, Trend reports via IRNA.
The monetary value of the goods exported via the province's borders during the reported period amounted to $49.3 million, Jafari said, adding that the total weight of the exports was 159,600 tons.
Main export items were petrochemicals, steel products, agricultural goods and were mainly supplied to Turkmenistan, Afghanistan and Turkey, Javad Jafari said.
The monetary value of the goods imported via the borders of North Khorasan was $27.5 million, which indicates a 56 percent increase, compared to the same period of the preceding Iranian year.
Main imported goods were raw materials, equipment for plants, rice and were mostly imported from China, Pakistan, Turkey and Russia, Jafari said.
About 400 industrial enterprises operate in North Khorasan.
