The export orders worth $596 million were executed in 2019, which is 13.7 percent more than in 2018, Trend reports referring to the Export Review of Azerbaijan’s Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communications.
Over the past 3 years, the Azexport website has accepted orders for the supply of non-oil products worth over $1.9 billion from Azerbaijan.
The following countries entered the list of TOP-5 customers of the website in 2019: Russia - 12.7 percent, Turkey - 7.4 percent, the US - 5.4 percent, England - 5.3 percent, and Saudi Arabia - 5.3 percent.
The Azexport website (azexport.az) was created in accordance with the president’s decree “On creation of a unified database of goods produced in the Republic of Azerbaijan” dated Sept. 21, 2016.
Among the main goods exported in 2019 were tobacco, chicken, eggs, hazelnuts, cottonseed oil, wine, pomegranate, onions, cosmetics, medical gauze, furniture, paint, confectionary, milk with fruit additives, mineral water and garlic.
The goal of the website, which is managed by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communications, is to provide information on products of Azerbaijani origin and a profitable platform for their sale on foreign and domestic markets.
