The production of 28 out of 42 essential goods increased in Iran in the first nine months (from March 21, 2019 to Dec. 21, 2019) of the current Iranian year, Trend reports with reference to the Iranian Industry, Mine and Trade Ministry.
According to the ministry's report, more than 45,000 pickups were manufactured in Iran in the reported period, which indicates 16.5 percent increase, compared to the same period of the preceding Iranian year when 39,000 pickups were produced.
The report reads that 13,795 tractors were manufactured in Iran in the reported nine-month period, which indicates 15.7 percent increase, compared to the same period of the preceding Iranian year when the output was 11,900 tractors.
According to the report, the plant oil production reached 133,100 tons in the reported period, which is 9.4 percent more than in the same period previous year, when the plant oil output was 121,100 tons.
During the nine-month period, 36.3 billion pieces of various medicines were produced in Iran, which is 29.6 percent more compared to the same period of the preceding Iranian year when this figure was 28 billion.
According to the report, Iran produced 747,600 tons of various paper in the reported period, which is 6.3 percent more compared to the same period of the previous Iranian year when this figure was 703,300 tons.
The report says that the high-density fiberboard (HDF) production amounted to 913,000 square meters, having increased by 1.3 percent, compared to the same period of the preceding Iranian year when this figure was 901,000 square meters. Meanwhile, the particle board production went up from 447,000 square meters to 524,000 square meters, thus showing 17.2 percent increase.
The production at Iran's petrochemical industry reached 41.4 million tons, having increased by 1.7 percent compared to the same period of the preceding Iranian year when this figure was 40.7 million tons.
According to the report, the refrigerator production increased by 3.9 percent up to 848,000 units, compared to the first nine months of the preceding Iranian year when the refrigerator output was 816,000 units. The washing machine production amounted to 481,000 units, having increased by 24.2 percent, while the production of water based air conditioning systems reached 637,000 units, having soared by 22.7 percent. For comparison, the washing machine and water based air conditioning production amounted to 387,000 and 519,000 units, respectively.
During the reported nine-month period, over 6.9 million units of electric motors were produced in Iran, which indicates 17.1 percent increase compared to the same period previous year. In the first nine months of the preceding Iranian year, the country's electric motor production was slightly over 5.9 million units.
According to the ministry, in the reported period, Iran's raw steel and steel products output increased by 6 percent and 6.1 percent, respectively. In this nine-month period, Iran produced 18 million tons of raw steel and 15.5 million tons of steel goods. For comparison, in the same period of the preceding year, these figures were 16.9 million tons and 14.6 million tons, respectively.
Moreover, Iran's cement production output amounted to 64.6 million tons in the first nine months of the current Iranian year, which is 11.1 percent more compared to the same period of the preceding Iranian year when this figure was 41.9 million tons.
Meanwhile, 302 million square meters of ceramics were produced in Iran in the first nine months of the current Iranian year, which is 5.8 percent more than in the same period of the preceding Iranian year when the ceramics production amounted to 285 million square meters.
