Export of goods through Iran’s Bilasuvar checkpoint up

The export of goods through the Bilasuvar checkpoint in Iran’s north-western Ardabil province increased by 25 percent during 10 months of this Iranian year (from March 21, 2019 through January 20, 2020) compared to the same period of last Iranian year, Governor of Ardabil province Akbar Behnamcu said.

Behnamcu made the remark at the meeting dedicated to the economic issues in Iran’s Bilasuvar district, Trend reports referring to the governorship’s website.

“The goods worth $79 million were exported through the Bilasuvar checkpoint during the reporting period,” governor added. “The goods worth over $66 million were exported through suitcase trade via the Bilasuvar checkpoint, which is 20 percent more than in the same period of last Iranian year.”

“The goods worth $10 million were imported through the Bilasuvar checkpoint during the reporting period which is by 10 percent more compared to the same period of last Iranian year,” Behnamcu said.

“The special attention is paid to the export of rubber products which are exported through the Bilasuvar checkpoint,” the governor said. “After the implementation of the projects in the processing industry in the province, the export volume of rubber products will increase.”
