Georgia to export new armored vehicle

BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 2

By Tamilla Mammadova – Trend:

Georgia will export a new armored vehicle Didgori Meomari (warrior) with a 120 mm mobile mortar module to a country in the Middle East, Trend reports referring to the Georgian Ministry of Defense.

The ministry says that the agreement has already been signed between the State Military Scientific-Technical Center “Delta” (SMSTC Delta) and the purchasing country.

As reported, the purpose of the armored vehicle is fire support for brigade-sized or battalion-sized units.

The ministry says that the vehicle can also be used for fire support of mechanized units in maneuvering operations.

The State Military Scientific-Technical Center “Delta” presented the Didgori Meomari with 120 mm mortar module for the first time at IDEX 2019, international defense exhibition and conference in the Middle East and Northern Africa region, in February last year.
