Turkmenistan's Ezber Daikhan farm will plant paullinia seedlings, Trend reports with reference to Turkmenportal Information Portal.
It’s the first case of planting paullinia seedlings in the country.
Paullinia is beneficial during 20-50 years. This tree can be cut every 4-8 years, after that the tree bears fruit again. More than 500 seedlings are planted at the experimental site in the Ak Bugday district.
According to entrepreneur Arslan Nurgeldiev, wood, roots, leaves and flowers of this tree are in great demand on the world market. He also noted that the wood of this tree is widely used in the manufacture of furniture and musical instruments. Its roots, leaves and flowers are used in the pharmaceutical industry, perfumes, biotechnology and other areas.
Paullinia is growing in China. Chinese people call it dragon tree. This tree is used for the production of technical oil and important in medicine and pharmaceuticals. Due to its branched root system, this tree is very good at eliminating soil erosion.
