India donated 5,000 tons of wheat to Afghanistan which was delivered through Iran’s Chabahar port.
The Ports and Maritime Organization of Iran announced that a total of 75,000 tons of wheat is to be transported to Afghanistan through the port of Chabahar.
The first part of this humanitarian aid from the Indian government to the Afghan people was transported on April 16 via the port of Shahid Beheshti in Chabahar, Trend reports citing IRNA.
The cargo was delivered to the port of Chabahar with 203 containers, which immediately started unloading and loading the goods with the strategic and modern equipment of this port.
So far, about 61 containers have returned to the port of Shahid Beheshti in Chabahar via the Zaranj-Milk border.
The return of the remaining empty containers to Chabahar port continues with the gradual transportation of the donated cargo through the Milk border.
