The Greece-based CCC Group (Consolidated Contractors Company) regards Uzbekistan as one of the priority areas for expanding its international activities, Trend reports citing the Uzbek media outlets.
The issue was discussed at the meeting between the Uzbek diplomatic mission in Italy, the management of the Italian Sicon company and its parent company CCC Group, the report said.
"Earlier, CCC Group sent to Uzbekistan financial aid in the amount of $100,000 to purchase necessary materials, masks, disinfectants or other purposes to combat the pandemic, at the discretion of the Uzbek side," the report said.
The CCC Group was founded in 1952. During this period, it has become the largest construction corporation in the Middle East, with more than 120,000 employees, and took 17th place in the top list of specialized companies in the world. The Group operates in 40 countries in Europe, America, Asia and Africa, as well as the CIS.
"CCC Group has opened its offices in Tashkent and Samarkand and intends to establish a regional center in the country for its work in Central Asia. At present, the group participates in a consortium with French SUEZ company in implementation of a socially important project on modernization of road and water infrastructure in Samarkand, the report says.
At the same time, the CCC Group company, based on its wide specialization, is interested in the implementation of other major infrastructure and industrial projects in Uzbekistan.
