Export from Iran's Sistan and Baluchestan Province going up

BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 27

The Sistan and Baluchestan Province’s (southeastern Iran) product export increased by 17 percent in the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2019 to March 20, 2020) compared to the preceding year (from March 21, 2018 to March 21, 2019), said Deputy chairman of Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of Iran in the province, Trend reports citing the organization’s website.

According to Sultanzadeh, last year, 1.35 million tons of products worth $1.09 billion were exported from Sistan and Baluchestan Province, including the Chabahar free trade zone.

Sultanzadeh added that excluding the Chabahar free trade zone, the province's exports amounted to $1.07 billion.

“The exported products were mainly, construction materials (cement), peas, fruits, gas, sulfur, dates, vegetables, washing powder, bitumen, ceramics, etc.,”he said.

The official said that the products were mainly exported to Pakistan, Afghanistan, Turkey, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates and other countries.
