BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 12

By Tamilla Mammadova – Trend:

Within the framework of cooperation with investment consultants, an online meeting was held in Georgia with representatives of the US' IBM company, said Produce in Georgia Agency under the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Trend reports via Georgian media.

As reported, the video conference was held with Plant Location International (PLI), which IBM acquired in 2013.

For more than 60 years, Plant Location International has been advising investors on the selection of new locations for doing business.

During an online meeting, Director of the Produce in Georgia Agency Mikhail Khidureli introduced the PLI management to the investment business environment of Georgia.

The greatest interest on the part of PLI was caused by the potential of outsourcing business services. The conversation also touched on the manufacturing sector.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia began negotiations with 50 leading business consulting companies globally.

The Produce in Georgia program was set up in the summer of 2014 to stimulate local production and offers two main incentives: financial resources and infrastructure (land, buildings, etc.). In April 2017, the agency of the same name was created, which combined all state programs aimed at promoting the business sector and economic development of the country.
