Iran declares number of enterprises ready for operation in Khuzestan Province

BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 21

Six large industrial enterprises are ready to be put into operation in the Khuzestan Province (southwestern Iran), said Amir Hossein Nazari, the Chairman of Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of Khuzestan Province, Trend reports citing the organization’s website.

According to Nazari, the facility of Kimia Pars Middle East Petrochemical Company in Shushtar county, the facility of Pars Haft Tappeh Steel Company in Shush county, the Rouhina steel plant in Dezful county will be put into operation.

“In addition, a facility of the Persian Gulf Bid-Boland Gas Refining Company in Behbahan county, a facility of Masjed Soleyman Petrochemical Industries Company and a facility of Hedayat Industrial Slaughterhouse Company in Dezful county will be commissioned,” he added.

The chairman said that Kimia Pars Middle East Petrochemical Company will produce chlorine, sodium hydroxide, Pars Haft Tappeh Steel Company billet, Rouhina Steel plant fittings, Persian Gulf Bid-Boland Gas Refining Company will produce liquefied gas, ethane, propane, normal butane and sweet gas.

"Masjed Soleyman Petrochemical Industries Company will produce urea and ammonia, and Hedayat Industrial Slaughterhouse Company will slaughter and pack chicken," he said.

The chairman noted that 6 companies will create jobs for more than 4,000 people.

"About 26.9 trillion rials (about $642 million) in funds have been spent on the commissioning of these facilities," he said.
