Iran increases investment-allocated areas in Bushehr Province

BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 22

The area allocated for investment in industrial parks in the Bushehr Province (southern Iran) increased by 10 times during the first three months of the current year (March 20 - June 20, 2020) compared to the same period last Iranian year, Chairman of Iran Small Industries and Industrial Parks Organization’s (ISIPO) branch in Bushehr Province Mehdi Safavi said, Trend reports citing the company’s official portal.

Safavi noted that within 3 months, 20 hectares of land were handed over to investors for the establishment of enterprises.

The chairman emphasized that, however, 2.5 hectares of land were handed over to 5 investors for the establishment of enterprises during the first three months of the last Iranian year.

Safavi said that contracts have been signed with 52 new investors to invest in 20 hectares of land. Total amount of investments should reach 2.51 trillion rials (about $59.7 million).

"The investors will create production facilities in the food, chemical, metal industries in the industrial parks. With the establishment of these enterprises, 910 people will be provided with jobs, "he said.
