Kazakhstan sees increase in arriving job seekers from Turkey

BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 25

The number of job seekers from Turkey in Kazakhstan grew in the first six months of 2020, Turkish Employment Agency (İŞKUR) told Trend.

From January through June 2020, the number of Turkish citizens who visited Kazakhstan through İŞKUR to find work massively increased by 79.2 percent compared to the same period of 2019.

In total, 4,622 Turkish citizens went abroad via İŞKUR over the reporting period, which is 52.6 percent less compared to the same period of 2019.

In June 2020, 67,832 citizens were provided with jobs through this agency in Turkey.

Some 65.2 percent of the total number of employed citizens accounted for women and 34.8 percent for men.

In June 2020, 96.9 percent of the total number of citizens provided with jobs accounted for the private sector, İŞKUR said.

The number of unemployed in Turkey in the reporting month amounted to over 3.3 million people, 34.6 percent of whom are women, and 52.5 percent are men.
