Iran's import of electrical goods from Turkey down in 1H2020

BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 29

Electrical goods export from Turkey to Iran in the first six months of 2020 declined by 13.1 percent compared to the same period in 2019, having made up $41.9 million, Turkish Trade Ministry told Trend.

In June 2020, Turkey exported electrical goods worth $17 million to Iran, which is 64.7 percent more than in June last year.

Export of electrical goods from Turkey abroad declined by 12.3 percent from January through June 2020 compared to the same period of 2019, having amounted to slightly over $4.7 billion.

According to the ministry, Turkey’s export of electrical goods to foreign markets made up 6.3 percent of the country’s total export for the first half of this year.

"Turkey’s export of electrical goods to world markets amounted to $902.7 million in June 2020, which is 26.2 percent more compared to June 2019," the ministry said.

In June this year, Turkey’s export of electrical goods to world markets amounted to 6.7 percent of the country’s total export.

During the last twelve months (from June 2019 through June 2020), Turkey exported electrical goods worth over $10.5 billion.
