From January 1 through June 30, 2020, Georgia exported 1,590.3 tons of potatoes worth $636,100 to Russia, Georgian Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture told Trend.
As the ministry noted, in the reporting period Georgia exported potatoes to the following countries:

"The distribution center was opened in Bolnisi Municipality to ensure the safe and uninterrupted export of potatoes amid the novel coronavirus pandemic," the ministry said.
As the ministry noted, foreign national truck drivers have been provided with all necessary documents to facilitate the sale of products under the Single Window principle at the distribution point.
Meanwhile, potato production in Georgia decreased by 12.2 percent in 2019 compared to 2018. Georgia produced 186,500 tons of potatoes in 2015; 249,000 tons in 2016;180,100 tons in 2017; 237,500 tons in 2018; and 208,600 tons in 2019.
