The State Committee of Turkmenistan for Television, Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography plans to sign a contract with the Japanese Sony Professional Solutions company for the purchase, installation and commissioning of modern TV and radio equipment, Trend reports with reference to Business Turkmenistan information portal.
The contract will be concluded with Sony Professional Solutions MEA FZ-LLC, the company's representative office located in the United Arab Emirates.
The company supplies projectors, network cameras, professional audio equipment, and video surveillance system.
Japanese companies are engaged in various projects on diversification of the Turkmen economy.
A plant for the production of urea and ammonia was built in the Balkan region’s Garabogaz city, and a plant for the production of gasoline from natural gas was built in Ovadandepe, Akhal province with Japanese participation.
During the visit of Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe to Turkmenistan in October 2015, memorandums were signed for developing natural resources and the transport infrastructure of Turkmenistan. Meanwhile, agreements on a number of projects worth $18 billion were concluded between the two countries.
