Iran's export volume to Qatar up

BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 20

Iran exported products worth about $36 million to Qatar during the first four months of the current Iranian year (March 20-July 21, 2020), said Director General of Trade Promotion Organization of Iran’s (TPOI) Arabic-African Affairs Office Farzad Piltan, Trend reports citing the organization.

The director general noted that during this period, Iran's export of gypsum, cement, building stones, pipes, profiles and construction materials to Qatar increased in terms of volume and value.

“There was also an increase in the exports of food products such as eggs, pistachios, saffron, oranges and dates,” he said.

Piltan said that Iran ranks 20th among countries exporting products to Qatar.

Iran exported more than 30 million tons of non-oil products worth $8.71 billion during four months of this year. The TOP 5 importers of Iranian products were China, Iraq, the UAE, Afghanistan and Turkey.

In turn, during the reporting period, Iran imported 12 million tons of products worth $10.9 billion, mainly from China, the UAE, Turkey, India and Germany.
