The automobile manufacturing in Iran increased by 21 percent during the first five months of the current Iranian year (March 20-August 21, 2020) compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports citing the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade.
According to the report, two Iranian automakers (Iran Khodro and Saipa) manufactured a total of 360,599 automobiles within five months.
“While 298,307 automobiles were manufactured in the same period last year,” the report said.
According to the report, two automakers have delivered a total of 286,363 automobiles to customers over five months. This is an increase of 9 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year (263,537 units), the report noted.
During this period, the number of automobiles available in sales centers decreased by 13 percent, and the number of unfinished cars decreased by 28 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year, according to the report.
