Value of exports of small Iranian companies increases

The value of exports of Iranian small companies amounted to $1.74 billion during the first six months of the current Iranian year (March 20-September 21, 2020), Deputy Chairman of Iran Small Industries and Industrial Parks Organization (ISIPO), Asghar Mosaheb said, Trend reports citing Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade of Iran.

Mosaheb stressed that this is an increase of 16.77 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.

He added that while in the same period last Iranian year, Iranian small companies exported goods worth $1.49 billion.

The deputy chairman noted that small companies exported goods worth $1 billion to Pakistan, worth $364 million to Iraq and worth $83 million to Afghanistan, during the reporting period.

“In addition, the companies exported goods worth $50 million to the UAE, worth $36 million to Turkey, worth $26 million to Azerbaijan and worth $20 million to India in six months,” he said.

According to Mosaheb, the exported goods were mainly food products, steel, iron and rubber containers, and chemicals.

“The small companies in Razavi Khorasan Province exported $344 million worth of goods, in Tehran Province – worth $134 million, in East Azerbaijan Province - worth $123 million, in Fars Province - worth $88.7 million and small companies in Yazd Province – worth $83.7 million,” he added.
