Iran’s Sirik port exports non-oil products to Oman

BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 8

As many as 550 tons of non-oil products were exported to Oman from the Sirik port of the Hormozgan Province (southern Iran) today on October 8, the Governor of Sirik County of Hormozgan Province Ahmad Jamaladdini told journalists, Trend reports citing IRNA.

The governor stressed the value of the exported products via this port was 64 billion rials (about $1.52 million).

Jamaladdini added that the exported products were mainly fruits and vegetables, mineral water, paving stones, dried fruit, canned food, so on and were exported by 3 ships.

The governor noted that a sea line was established from Iran’s Sirik port to the Shinas port of Oman for the purpose of economic development in Iran, and the exporting of non-oil products were started for the first time in the third month of current Iranian year (May 21-June 20, 2020).

“This is the fifth time that non-oil products have been exported from the Sirik port to Oman,” he said.
