Export operations between Azerbaijan and Croatia double

The foreign trade operations between Azerbaijan and Croatia from January through September 2020 made up $370.4 million, which is over twofold more than in the same period of last year, Trend reports citing the statistical bulletin of the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee.

At the same time, the import of Croatian goods to Azerbaijan on an annualized basis decreased from $2.04 million to $2 million.

The share of Croatia in the total import volume of Azerbaijan reached 0.03 percent compared to 0.02 percent in the same period of 2019.

The export of Azerbaijani goods to Croatia in the past nine months of this year amounted to $368.5 million, while a year earlier this figure was $178.6 million.

The share of Croatia in the total export volume of Azerbaijan increased from 1.2 percent to 3.48 percent.

Thus, the balance of foreign trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Croatia remained positive during the reporting period and amounted to $366.5 million.

In general, Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover made up $18.4 billion from January through September 2020, which is 27.1 percent less than in the same period of 2019.

The balance of foreign trade turnover on an annualized basis dropped by 38.6 percent, but nevertheless remained positive, amounting to over $2.7 billion.
