Salt production growing in Turkmenistan

The Turkmen Guwlyduz company produced 72,854 tons of salt from January through September of this year, compared to 71,754 tons of production for the same period last year, Trend reports with reference to Business Turkmenistan information portal.

The annual production capacity of the enterprise is designed to produce 40,000 tons of iodized food salt and 2,500 granulated industrial salt. Since the beginning of the year, 13,394 tons of food salt packaged in special bags have been produced here.

In the new production halls of the company, products are packed in plastic buckets of 1 and 2 kilogram, as well as bags of 10 and 50 kilogram.

As reported, at Balkan region of Turkmenistan, the Guwlyduz enterprise commissioned a workshop with a capacity of 40,000 tons of iodized food salt and 2,500 tons of granulated technical salt per year, the raw material base for which is Duz Lake ("Salt"), which is located on the Caspian coast and is the country's largest salt deposit.

The new workshop has equipment from the European company EKOSOLT.

The feasibility study of the project of an industrial plant for the production of food salt at the Guwlyduz enterprise was prepared by employees of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan.
