Samruk-Kazyna sells stake of Kazakhstan’s Aktobe Rail and Section Works LLP

Samruk-Kazyna Group of Companies sold a 30 percent-stake worth 9.5 billion tenge of the authorized capital of Kazakhstan’s Aktobe Rail and Section Works LLP, Trend reports with reference to the Kapital.kz business information center.

The funds from the sale of assets upon the privatization program will be distributed on the basis of the decision of the sole shareholder of the fund of the government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

"Transport Technologies LLP (the second participant in Aktobe Rail and Section Works LLP) acquired a 30-percent-stake in Remlokomotiv JSC in the authorized capital of Aktobe Rail and Section Works LLP upon the method of direct targeted sale,” the company said.

“A small asset was sold within the Comprehensive Privatization Plan for 2016-2020, approved upon the resolution of the government of the Republic of Kazakhstan #1141 dated Dec. 30, 2015," the company added.

The privatization plan, approved by the government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, has been completed by 83 percent: implemented – by 87 percent, reorganized – by 11 percent and liquidated – by 42 percent. Currently, eight big assets and 20 small assets of Samruk-Kazyna JSC are involved in the withdrawal process.

Earlier, chairman of the board of Samruk-Kazyna National Welfare Fund JSC Akhmetzhan Yessimov told the president about the results of the group of companies' work during nine months.

The net income in the reporting period exceeded the plan by 2.6 times and amounted to 436 billion tenge compared to the plan worth 167 billion tenge. Payment of dividends to the shareholder - the government of Kazakhstan in 2020 amounted to 120 billion tenge, which is 10 times more than in 2017.
