By Jeila Aliyeva - Trend:
The Institute of Chemistry of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan has developed its own method for enriching iron-containing ore in the Kyzyl Kala field, Trend reports with reference to the “Turkmenistan: Zolotoy Vek” (Turkmenistan: Golden Age) electronic newspaper.
This method involves increasing the percentage of iron oxide in the ore ground to a certain size by repeatedly wetting it with water and separating colloidal particles. Iron oxide for cement production was previously purchased abroad, but now local raw materials have completely replaced the imported analog.
The introduction of this method made it possible to obtain from local raw materials the content of iron oxide in the ore mass necessary for the production of cement.
The method has already been patented by the State Service of Intellectual Property of the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan, as well as implemented in the cement industry of Turkmenistan.
In Turkmenistan, cement production has increased by 20 percent and production costs have been reduced, due to the use of basalt additives developed at the Institute of Chemistry of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan
