Kazakhstan to launch hundreds of industrial projects before year-end

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Nov. 26

More than 200 projects the investments into which will exceed 995 billion tenge ($2.3 billion) will be launched in Kazakhstan before the end of this year, Trend reports citing the press office of Kazakhstan’s president.

All of these projects will be implemented within the framework of the industrialization roadmap for 2020-2025. The topic of state program implementation was discussed during the meeting between Kazakhstan’s President Kassym Jomart Takoyev and Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Industry and Infrastructural Development Beibut Atamkulov.

During the meeting, Atamkulov said that despite the pandemic industrial output increased by 3.2 percent over 10 months of 2020.

He also noted that within the framework of the Nurly Zhol program, traffic on motor roads with a length of 2,600 kilometers has been opened since the beginning of the year. Transit cargo transportation is growing, including by 61.6 percent on the China-Europe-China route.

Under the Nurly Zher program, the housing commissioning plan was 14.1 million square meters. According to the minister, housing commissioning will amount to 15 million square meters by the end of the year, and by 2025, a total of 103 million square meters of housing will be built.
