Iranian three carmakers increased the manufacturing of passenger cars by 10 percent during the first eight months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through November 20) compared to the same period last Iranian year, reads the report of information service (codal.ir) under the Securities and Exchange Organization of Iran, Trend reports.
According to the report, more than 544,000 passenger cars were manufactured in Iran over the reporting period.
"So, Iran Khodro Industrial Group manufactured about 287,000 passenger cars in eight months. The manufacturing of the company increased by 36.5 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year," the report said.
In addition, Iran's Saipa Group manufactured more than 191,000 passenger cars within 8 months. The manufacturing of the company decreased by 13.4 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year, the report said.
According to the report, at the same time, Iran's Pars Khodro Automobile Manufacturing Company manufactured 66,000 passenger cars in eight months. The manufacturing of this company increased by 7 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.
