Iran reveals its trade turnover with Azerbaijan

The value of Iran's trade turnover with Azerbaijan amounted to about $375 million during the first eight months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through November 20, 2020), Trend reports citing Tehran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture (TCCIMA).

According to the report, Iran exported $359 million worth of goods to Azerbaijan over the reporting period.

“Iran's exports to Azerbaijan increased by 24 percent in terms value compared to the same period last Iranian year,” the report said.

In addition, Iran imported $15.7 million worth of goods from Azerbaijan within 8 months, the report said.

According to the report, Iran’s imports from Azerbaijan increased by 38 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.

According to the statistics of Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), Iran exported 75 million tons of goods worth $21.5 billion during the first eight months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through November 20, 2020). Iran's exports decreased by 19 percent in terms of value and 14 percent in terms of volume compared to the same period of the last Iranian year.

In addition, Iran imported 21.8 million tons of goods worth $23.1 billion within 8 months of the current Iranian year.

Iran's imports decreased by 18 percent in terms of value and 1 percent in terms of volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.
