Iran's trade turnover with countries around Persian Gulf announced

The value of Iran's trade turnover with the countries around the Persian Gulf: Iraq, Bahrain, Qatar, the UAE and Oman during the first 8 months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through November 20, 2020) was declared, Trend reports citing Tehran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture (TCCIMA).

According to the report, Iran exported $5.3 billion worth of goods to Iraq over the reporting period. The exports decreased by 7 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.

“Iran also exported $5 million worth of goods to Bahrain within eight months. The exports decreased by 20 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year,” the report said.

At the same time, Iran imported $100,000 worth of goods from Bahrain in the 8 months. The imports of goods decreased by 94 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year, the report said.

According to the report, Iran exported $98 million worth of goods to Qatar during the reporting period. The exports decreased by 40 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.

In addition, Iran imported $4.8 million worth of goods from Qatar within the first 8 months of the current Iranian year. The imports decreased by 47 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.

Also, Iran exported $2.72 billion worth of goods to the UAE in eight months. The exports decreased by 3 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year. However, Iran imported $5.43 billion worth of goods from the UAE in this period. The imports increased by 2 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year, the report said.

According to the report, Iran exported $255 million worth of goods to Oman over the 8 months. The exports decreased by 21 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.

“Furthermore, Iran imported $269 million worth of goods from Oman during this period. The imports increased by 147 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.

According to the statistics of Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), Iran exported 75 million tons of goods worth $21.5 billion during the first eight months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through November 20, 2020). Iran's exports decreased by 19 percent in terms of value and 14 percent in terms of volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.

In addition, Iran imported 21.8 million tons of goods worth $23.1 billion within 8 months of the current Iranian year.

Iran's imports decreased by 18 percent in terms of value and 1 percent in terms of volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.
