The fuel and energy, the industrial sectors, light industry and a number of other industries were named as priority areas of cooperation between Turkmenistan and Italy, Trend reports with reference to Turkmenistan’s State News Agency.

The directions were named during a meeting between President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Italy to Turkmenistan Luciano Galli.

During the meeting, the Italian side expressed its interest in developing cooperation with Turkmenistan. Thus, for the implementation of the reached agreements, as well as for the practical realization of the potential of cooperation, the ongoing joint work on the preparation of the "Road map" of cooperation is seen as promising.
