Certain licenses issued for establishment of enterprises in Iran’s industrial sector

A total of 22,000 licenses were issued for the establishment of enterprises in Iran’s industrial sector during the first seven months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through October 21, 2020), Trend reports citing the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade of Iran.

According to the report, the number of enterprises licensed for establishment in Iran’s industrial sector increased by 45.1 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year. Thus, 15,200 enterprises were licensed for establishment in the same period last Iranian year.

“It is planned to be invested 2.72 quadrillion rials (about $64.8 billion) for the establishment of licensed enterprises in 7 months. This is an increase of 48 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year,” the reports said.

While in the same period last Iranian year, this figure amounted to 1.83 quadrillion rials (about $43.8 billion), the report said.

According to the report, a total of 484,000 people are estimated to be employed on the basis of licenses issued for 7 months. This is an increase of 37.3 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.

“However, 353,000 people were estimated to be employed in the same period last Iranian year,” the report said.
