As many as 8 facilities will be put into operation in the Shahid Rajaee port of the Hormozgan Province (southern Iran) by the end of the current Iranian year (from March 20, 2020 to March 21, 2021), Chairman of Ports and Maritime Organization of Iran’s (PMO) branch in Hormozgan Province Alireza Mohammadi said, Trend reports citing the organization.
Mohammadi noted that a total of 2.69 trillion rials (about $64 million) was spent on the construction of these facilities.
The chairman added that the facilities are being built at the expense of private sector investment.
“Thus, 3 storage terminals for oil products, 2 terminals for transit, 1 terminal for dangerous goods, 2 service centers will be put into operation,” he said.
Mohammadi emphasized that 640 people will be employed with the launch of these facilities.
