Azerbaijan exported 175,978 tons of tomatoes from January through November 2020, which is 13.2 percent more than in the same period of 2019, Trend reports on Dec. 29 referring to the statistical bulletin of the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee.
According to the committee, the exported tomatoes’ amount was nearly $190.4 million, a year-on-year growth of 13.2 percent.
During the reporting period, the foreign trade turnover of Azerbaijan made up over $22.7 billion, which is 25.8 percent less compared to 11M2019.
In the structure of foreign trade turnover, exports accounted for $13 billion. The volume of exports declined by 28.6 percent on an annual basis. The share of exports decreased by 2.2 percentage points over the year, to 57.42 percent of the total foreign trade turnover.
Imports to Azerbaijan amounted to $9.68 billion in the past eleven months of 2020, having decreased by 21.8 percent compared to the same period of 2019. The share of imports in the total trade turnover increased by 2.2 percentage points, up to 42.58 percent of the total volume.
