Kazakh metallurgical plant renews equipment of converter shop

A new machine was installed in the converter shop at the metallurgical plant of ArcelorMittal Temirtau JSC, Trend reports citing the Akimat of Kazakhstan’s Karaganda region.

Modern equipment will improve production reliability, said the message.

“The assembly of a new Ukrainian-made charging machine in the converter shop has been completed. Now it is being put into operation. All documents for the installation of new equipment were signed by the Industrial Safety Department and the Ministry of Emergency Situations,” the press service of the ArcelorMittal Temirtau said.

Ukrainian experts assisted in the commissioning and trained local workers said the company.

“This machine is designed for two lifts of 90 tons. The Ukrainian experts conducted dynamic and static tests in the presence of a representative of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. They walked around the entire machine, signed all the relevant documents and acts,” said Mikhail Tyumentsev, Head of the section for repair and maintenance of the mechanical equipment of the converter shop.
