New enterprises put into operation in Iran's industrial parks

A total of 1,160 new industrial enterprises have been put into operation in Iran's industrial parks since the beginning of the current Iranian year (March 20, 2020) to date, Deputy minister of Industry, Mine and Trade and Head of Iran Small Industries and Industrial Parks Organization (ISIPO), Ali Rasoulian said, Trend reports citing IRNA.

The deputy minister noted that 150 trillion rials (about $3.57 billion) were spent on these enterprises and 20,000 people were employed.

Rasoulian added that in addition, the activities of 1,170 industrial enterprises were restored in Iran's industrial parks during the reporting period.

“With the restoration of these enterprises, 19,400 people were employed,” he said.

The head of organization stressed that currently, 9,000 industrial enterprises are under construction. There is a 60-percent progress in construction work. These enterprises need loans for upgrade and to start production and create jobs.

Rasoulian noted that a total of 180,000 people will be employed with the launch of these enterprises.
