Iran discloses value of exports to Arab countries

Iran exported about $10.7 billion worth of goods to five Arab countries during the first 10 months of the current Iranian year (from March 20, 2020, through January 20, 2021), Director General of Trade Promotion Organization of Iran’s (TPOI) Arabic-African Affairs Office Farzad Piltan said, Trend reports citing the organization website.

The director-general emphasized that so, Iran exported $6.3 billion worth of goods to Iraq, $3.7 billion worth to the United Arab Emirates, and $323 million worth to Oman over the reporting period.

He added that moreover, Iran exported $134 million worth of goods to Qatar and $125 million worth to Kuwait within 10 months.

According to Piltan, the value of Iran's exports to Arab countries increased by $1.89 billion in the 10th month of the current Iranian year (December 21, 2020, through January 20, 2021).

The director noted that other Arab countries, such as Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Yemen, Syria, Jordan, and Lebanon, are not in the top 20 in terms of exports.

Piltan said that the value of Iran's exports to 15 neighboring countries (including by seaway) amounted to about $16.6 billion over the past 10 months.
