Iran's exports to the UAE increased by 7 percent in terms of value during the first 10 months of the current Iranian year (March 20, 2020 through January 19, 2021), compared to the same period of the last Iranian year, Director General of Trade Promotion Organization of Iran’s (TPOI) Arabic-African Affairs Office Farzad Piltan told ILNA, Trend reports.
The director general emphasized that Iran exported about $3.73 billion worth of goods to the UAE over 10 months of the mentioned year. In the same period of the preceding Iranian year, this figure was $3.49 billion.
Piltan added that over the past 3 months, the exports have increased even more. The increase was mainly in exports of gasoline, iron and steel products, hydrocarbons, gas turbines, saffron, pistachios, tomatoes, onions and other products.
Piltan noted that the UAE ranked third in Iran's exports for 10 months, after China and Iraq.
As reported, Iran's foreign trade turnover for 10 months (March 20, 2020 through January 19, 2021) amounted to about 123 million tons worth $58.7 billion.
Iran exported 94.5 million tons of goods worth $28.1 billion and imported 28.2 million tons worth $30.6 billion during the reporting period.
