Georgia imported 62 vehicles for the transport of ten or more persons, totaling $6.4 million from Turkey in January 2021, Trend reports referring to Georgian National Statistics Office (Geostat).
Over the same period last year, 21 vehicles were imported by Georgia from Turkey for a total amount of $110,600.
Turkey ranked second in Georgia’s commodity circulation in the reporting period.
In January 2021, total imports from Turkey to Georgia amounted to $92,880 million. In turn, Georgia exported goods worth $21,427 million to Turkey. The foreign trade turnover of Georgia with Turkey in the reporting period exceeded $114.308 million, which is 15 percent of Georgia's total trade turnover.
The external merchandise trade (excluding non-declared trade) of Georgia amounted to $762.5 million in January 2021, which is 16.5 percent lower in comparison to the same month of 2020.
The exports equaled $224.4 million (16.2 percent lower), while the imports stood at $538.1 million (16.6 percent lower).
