The machinery and equipment, cars, trailers and semi-trailers worth 22.7 million manat ($13.3 million) were produced in Azerbaijan in January 2021, Trend reports on Feb. 24, citing data from the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee.
The production of machinery and equipment increased by 23.5 percent, other vehicles decreased by 66.7 percent in January 2021 compared to the same period of 2020.
According to the State Statistics Committee, 96 passenger cars were produced in Azerbaijan in January 2021, which is by 50 percent less than in January 2020. As of February 1, 2021, there are 213 cars.
Azerbaijan's GDP amounted to 72.4 billion manat ($42.6 billion) in 2020, which is by 4.3 percent less than in 2019.
The value added in the non-oil and gas sector of the economy decreased by 2.6 percent in 2020.
